It is a very good concept to have all the research done and everything included in a fixed price contract.
We knew OHL from other projects that they have looked after so leaving this in their hands was an easy decision. We got the roof on last week and everything is going smoothly and on track. It is nice to get the monthly updates and progress photos even though we aren't in Cairns it feels like we are very much involved.
Even though it initially stretched my comfort zone to purchase and build interstate, of the 5 investment properties I now own, this one looks like easily returning the best annual equity growth. OHL runs a good operation and I can highly recommend the service.

After some of the stories I have heard about building - I must say I was a little nervous about building my first house. When the house actually started, I was around there once a week at least.

We had been on the lookout for cash flow positive properties for some time. Neither of us were overly comfortable with the idea of buying in regional locations or getting into commercial property. When OHL explained their strategy it made good sense.
We had two homes built, sold one and put the profits from the sale into the other long term investment house which is now rented out. With the profits reducing the overall debt and a good rental income, this place is now cashflow positive! Not only that but we now have enough equity in it to support two more houses being built!
